Magic Moments
Magic Moments is an ongoing research project in collaboration with Georgia Akbar. We design creative, multi-sensory and age appropriate interventions for people with late stage dementia and their carers. The project is delivered in collaboration with Magic Me, and intergenerational arts Charity based in East London. Over the past four years we have worked with over a hundred care homes across the UK.
Over the last 3 years Georgia Akbar and I have researched, designed and delivered creative experiments in care homes for people living with late stage dementia. This project has taken the form of sessions with residents, both in groups and one to one, training with care staff and activity providers and two publications of magic moments activities that anyone can use to help them meaningfully engage with people living with dementia.
